Instructor - Ollie Davies

Having developed a passion for the water on holidays to Tenby as a child a wonderful love affair with the coast began which has been a constant to this day!

After leaving art college I worked as a portrait photographer, honing my communication skills with children and families. Wanting to meet more people from around the world, and build on my customer relation skills with larger groups of people, I started working for the Youth Hostels Association England and Wales in Cardiff YHA.

The YHA gave me a great opportunity to experience working with different groups of young people that were from various backgrounds and ages; from primary schools to universities and special needs.

When I moved to Manorbier Youth Hostel, situated on the coastline of the Pembrokeshire national park in 2006, my passion for the coastline had taken on a new lease of life through water sports, especially surfing which became a beautiful obsession.

I now have 8 years’ experience of the Pembrokeshire coastline, and have become an accomplished surfer and waterman.

When flat spells in the surf would hit the coastline the fun in the water did not stop. Kayaking, snorkeling and scrambling would offer different adventures and insights to the beautiful and rugged coastline.

I have 2 years coasteering experience as a leisure pursuit, taking friends and family members.
